Batteries for Pink Digital Camera

Technology has radically transformed the way camera batteries work. While many people still have the old legendary batteries, new rechargeable batteries promise almost unlimited usage.

Proprietary Rechargeable Batteries. Not all cameras accept legendary batteries. The newer brands now accept rechargeable brands only. These include brand names like LI-60 and NB-4L. These can come already bundled in with the camera. While it is a great idea to use these newer brands, it is also wise to save the older versions for backup. This ensures that you plan ahead in the event that there are any unexpected issues that arise such as power outages or electrical malfunctions.

Double (AA). Many gadgets utilize standard AA batteries. These include lithium, alkaline or oxyride. These are relatively inexpensive and easy to transport. They are also standard meaning they can be found and purchased almost anywhere in the world. That means that should one find themselves in a very remote region of the world, they can easily purchase these batteries from almost any store there.

The downside to these brands is that they do not particularly last very long countries without electricity). On the downside, none of these is rechargeable, and alkaline batteries in particular won’t last you very long. Lithium batteries however have been known to outlast their rival brands. Then there are the Oxyrides brands. These last slightly longer than lithium brands but they have been accused of not being environment-friendly.

NiMH brands. This is the way to go. These are the new rechargeable batteries, better known as NiMH. These are quite a deal because not only do they cost almost the same as regular brands. These can be recharged as often as they die and the charger is also portable and can fit into any bag or pocket. The downside to them is that once they die, one needs a power outlet to charge them. This can be problematic if one finds themself in a remote region.

AC Adapters. Thankfully, we can expect that a camera will come bundled together with an AC adapter to supplement its battery life. This can minimize mobility but it can serve well while in settings where you are not moving around a lot (such as indoors.) This can help especialy when downloading photos to your laptop or PC ot watching them on your TV or laptop.
Advanced Docking Stations. A docking station is a convenient setup that allows you to charge your camera while at the same time downloading your files to your computer hard disk.

Multiplicity of choice. Some cameras come with options as far as power is concerned. One can opt for the AAA batteries or the AA kind. Then there are those which come with the ability to use the NiMH. Some advanced models even allow you to charge them using your laptop or desktop.
